AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL
DALLAS COUNTY DEMOCRATS
Dear Friends,
I am running for the 363rd Judicial District Court in the March 2, 2010 Democratic Party primary. This letter is intended to formally introduce you to my campaign and my desire to be of service to the citizens of Dallas County in a judicial capacity. I offer strong academic credentials and prior judicial experience. I also have a solid record of public service to the local community in Dallas County and to the State of Texas.
I earned my law degree at the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville where I studied under both former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. After graduation from law school I began my career with the City of Dallas as an Administrative Assistant for the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) program. The CETA Program involved development of the South Boulevard/Park Row Historic Preservation Association and the Swiss Avenue Historic Preservation Association. I worked with such notable Dallas dignitaries as the late Juanita Craft, Kathleen Gilliam and the late Reverend H.J. Johnson. I also worked for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in the early stages of the light rail program as one of the first African-Americans in its procurement department. I have also worked for Dallas County as an Assistant Public Defender and as an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) for the State of Texas.
Throughout my adult life, I have demonstrated unwavering support for the Texas Democratic Party and for its past and present candidates. I intend to take my candidacy in the upcoming Democratic Party primary to dedicated Democrats in Dallas County on March 2, 2010 and to all citizens of Dallas County in the November general election. Once elected Judge of the 363rd District Court, I pledge to work swiftly and fairly with all of the citizens of Dallas County.
I look forward to an exciting and successful campaign and I ask for your support.
Regards,
Hiram McBeth
Democrat for Judge
363rd District Court
